Inclusive AI & Neurodiversity Assessment

Responsible AI and inclusive assessment design for identifying learner strengths, access barriers and neurodiversity-related support needs, built around human review rather than automated diagnosis.

What this enables

DAS builds inclusive assessment systems for education and neurodiversity contexts, extending prior R&D into AI-supported assistive learning (including the Ability project, focused on dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and dyspraxia). The approach combines inclusive task design, evidence capture, accessibility-by-design and explainable analytics, keeping education professionals central to interpretation and action rather than automating judgement. It is designed for needs that overlap across autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia and executive-function differences, where early indicators are often behavioural, contextual or masked by coping strategies.

Typical outputs

  • Inclusive task and evidence-capture design for identifying learner strengths and access barriers.
  • Explainable analytics that support, rather than replace, professional judgement.
  • Human-review workflows with no autonomous diagnosis, placement or funding decisions.
  • Data protection and safeguarding practice appropriate to learner data.
  • Evidence packs suitable for education-domain governance and research validation.
